I've been listening to Coldplay for about six years now and I believe that each year and with each album my love for their music grows. so often when I'm in a bad mood or having a bad day, or a good day, or really...in any mood, I'll find a song from one of their six albums and just get [lost] in it (check out that song, by the way!). the words they sing just have a certain flow to them and it pierces the soul with a sharp pain at times because it's so easy to relate to. right now I'm listening to Swallowed In The Sea and for some reason [each time I listen to it] I get tears in my eyes and some emotion that I don't know is hiding just comes out right then and there.
one of the things that I love most about Coldplay is that when they write, they write whatever they want to. they cherish the words and all of them come from the heart (at least it seems that way). another favourite song I have is Fix You. it's so understandable and I think each one knows what the song is talking about because of how simple they put it. it's just wonderful.
I love Coldplay, not because they're all really good looking (that is true though!), or because they're a fairly popular band. I love them because they care about their music, and they care when they sing these songs. lyrics from the heart, to the heart.
